ABOUT US

spinningrock is a Cardiff-based theatre company, specialising in the development and presentation of new musicals.

Established during the early stages of the COVID pandemic, the company set out with the primary aim of connecting theatre fans across the world, at a time when it was needed it more than ever.

Our original production, Luna The Musical, was announced at MusicalCon 2022, and quickly established a strong following, after a successful online showing, and subsequent concert performances at The Other Palace and Wales Millennium Centre.

More recently, our original Welsh musical Limbo has been supported by the Wales Millennium Centre through an initial workshop, and public sharing in September 2025.

Our activities are funded, in part, by our original card game 100 Songs Every Theatre Nerd Should Know, which has been enjoyed by 'theatre nerds' of all ages across the globe.

As a passionate group of musical theatre fans and creators, it is our goal to be a force for making the positive changes we want to see in the industry. We are committed to the better treatment of performers, better representation in both cast and crew, and to making the theatre community inclusive and accessible to everyone, regardless of background.
